Civil servants to soon use ChatGPT

The team plans to roll out the AI service to up to 90,000 civil servants, starting with the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office. The project includes an agreement with Azure OpenAI to ensure data confidentiality. The aim of the software is to assist civil servants in their writing and research tasks, freeing them up for higher-level responsibilities. The chatbot is capable of summarizing information, drafting reports, and redacting sensitive information. An early version of the program is expected to be implemented within two months, with future versions potentially accessing and analyzing data from official databases. The project aligns with the growing interest in AI bots, particularly ChatGPT, which is widely regarded as a leading AI bot due to its natural conversational abilities. Microsoft has also incorporated OpenAI’s chatbot into its revamped search engine, Bing, and offers customers the option to protect sensitive data processed by the Azure OpenAI Service.
